Skoda has announced its launch plans for Skoda Octavia RS, Rapid Monte Carlo and the Kodiaq. All these new much awaited cars will be launched in August end in India. Skoda Octavia RS will be launched before Rapid Monte Carlo however, the bookings for the latter are open now and deliveries will begin in September 2017. About Skoda Octavia RS
The Skoda Octavia RS is a car that is loved by all driving enthusiasts. Skoda has previously launched the Octavia vRS and the Laura vRS in India. The new Skoda Octavia RS in its India spec will be offered in a 2.0L Turbo Petrol (TSI) motor with 230hp, a DSG transmission and an updated suspension setup to handle high speeds. It will also come with a body kit, black trims, sportier alloy wheels, trunk spoiler and sporty exhaust tips. The petrol heads might miss out on a manual transmission.
About Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo
The Rapid Monte Carlo is a special edition that is although the same mechanically but it will differ in styling from the regular Rapid. The Rapid will also be available in a Monte Carlo special red color, a black trunk spoiler, black alloys, all black interior and an all black interior trim. On the inside, Skoda says that the car will get a flat bottom steering wheel, sportier trim including race spec stitching and sport pedals.
About Skoda Kodiaq
The Kodiaq is the first 7-seater SUV by Skoda. The Indian spec SUV is aimed at reaching the shores by Quarter 4 of 2017. The SUV would include a 2.0L turbo-diesel as well as 2.0L turbo-petrol engine. In terms of transmission, it will be available in manual as well as DSG transmission. The Kodiaq shares its platform with the Volkswagen Tiguan (a 5 seater all wheel drive SUV that was launched by VW in 2017 in India). It is expected to be priced between 25-30 lakh rupees and at that price a 7 seater SUV that is almost the length of an Audi Q5 would is definitely worth the wait!
