Hiding Flaws

Hiding Flaws And Carrying The Blues

Putting on weight really sucks! Especially in the places that you thought were perfect about you. I was always proud of having a flat stomach and having great arms. I’ve worn sleeveless dresses and tops in the past. It’s only now (since I have put on a lot of weight) that I have completely stopped wearing sleeveless clothes. So instead of throwing away my existing clothes, I thought of using cover-ups and wearing them. I had picked this blue maxi from MBK mall in Bangkok and every time I’ve worn it, I’ve got compliments. This maxi has spaghetti straps so instead of wearing it as it is or just letting it be in my cupboard, I decided to hide my flaws and wear it with a smart denim jacket. I quite like this all blue look of mine and was successful in hiding flaws!

The best part about a maxi dress is that you can dress it up or dress down according to the event you are attending. Here I decided to go for a semi-formal look.

This ombre blue maxi is extremely comfortable and I had to attend an event so I thought of breaking this all blue look by wearing white statement earrings and a white clutch bag with flats.

The next time you think of discarding a garment from your wardrobe, think about how can you team it up with another garment and wear it. Hiding flaws and carrying the blues fetched me a lot of compliments that night and I too felt great dressing this old maxi of mine with something new.

Do let me know in the comments section below what do you think of my look and how do you like to style your maxi dress?
